Welcome to our website. Maine Medical Group Management Association (MEMGMA) is a state affiliate of the national association, Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) physically located in Colorado. Many of MEMGMA also are members of MGMA. Of those members many also belong to the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) as either a Nominee in the college, a Certified member or a Fellow in the ACMPE. MEMGMA has been providing our members with educational programs since 1979. One of our most popular educational programs is our Third Party Payer meetings that are generally hold in January of each year in two locations within the State. This meeting is well represented by all of the major insurance carriers for Maine to provide our members and non-member practices all the latest up-to-date information. Our education programs are not only aimed at our Practice Administrators but also for their staff. Please see our planned educational programs under our Calendar of Events which we will be updated periodically throughout the year. MEMGMA has joined with some of our other northern New England MGMA states for the past several years to hold a joint annual educational conference held in May. These past conferences have been held in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and happily Maine will be the host state for the 2009 Northern New England joint educational conference which will be held at the Marriott at Sable Oaks in S. Portland, ME from May 13 through May 15, 2009. We are currently busy working on the programs and events with the MA/RI chapter. This joint conference allows us to offer a higher quality education program with nationally known speakers. Our website will be updated periodically concerning the annual conference. Reservations will be limited, so plan to book your reservation early. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
